In the oddest of places, ideas can sometimes form. Despite the shadow that the pandemic cast on our lives, people in Singapore from different walks of life found their creative spark to solve the problems we all faced.

From a gutsy aqua fitness instructor faced with the closure of swimming pools, who figures out a way to put food on the table for her three kids, out of the water. To a 10-year-old boy who helps his friends remember how to keep safe from the virus by making a toy, using materials he scavenged around his house. And amidst the grim pressure of climbing death tolls around the world, a scientist races against time to find a treatment against the ever-mutating COVID-19 virus.

We follow 8 individuals who forged their way to make their quirky, ingenious solutions to the pandemic’s problems a reality, in spite of the odds stacked against them.
